Physical structures
are a function of regularized patterns of interaction among particles,
so regular as to appear to be objects, "things", rather
than particles whirling through space. Social structures (couples,
families, teams, communities, The Catholic Church, The Republican
Party, America, to name a few) are a function of the same process.
What does this mean, and what does it contribute to our understanding
of human interaction?
