Gary Richmond is the Resident Scenic Designer and Production Manager for Actors Art Theatre. He designed and built the sets for the Ovation Award nominated BOILER ROOM by Dan Fante, Harold Pinter's THE LOVER, Romulus Linney's SAND MOUNTAIN and Edward Allan Baker's DOLORES. Most recently he designed and built a motel room for SUBURBAN MOTEL. The Backstage West review said that his set was so real that "...more than once members of the audience asked, 'are we really in a motel?!' "
He's grateful that his grandfather Granville taught him the art of tinkering, by letting him help build a lake cabin with just an ax, a hammer, some logs and some rocks.

As an actor Gary recently completed a project for Toyota in which he starred with Dana Carvey. He can also be seen in the films Show and Prove, Millennium Eyes, Speechless, Wild Bill,Paper Rock Scissors, Mouse Hunt and plays the leading alien role in the soon to be released film The Flesh Hunters.
