The challenge of designing for theatrical productions just might be the most fun of all. When a producer or director calls, you never know how they may describe their play, it's theme and characters, and how they may wish to communicate that to the potential audience. Comedy? Drama? Dramady? Comic-Horror-Tragic-Celebration? This combines with what we feel is most important - conveying information and getting people to respond by purchasing tickets.
