SAFOWA BRIGHT-ASARE - Costume Designer
Safowa Bright-Asare originally worked as a Designer at top apparel design firms in Los Angeles.  She then moved into the Costume Design arena a few years ago when she was given an opportunity to style an Ad photo shoot for her company. She found that she absolutely loved it and decided to redirect her career towards Film and hasn't looked back since!  While dividing her time between diverse Costume Design projects in Film, Television and Music Videos, she has acquired extensive experience working in both contemporary and period formats.

When Safowa was approached with the opportunity to design the costumes for "3719 Broadleaf Road" she was excited to have a chance to work on the ambitious project.  "I had a great time working on it-one of the many elements that attracted me to it was that it took place in the 80's, that time period is close to my heart since that's actually when I grew up.  I was definitely up to the challenges of the project, and looked forward to being able to tell the story through 'true to life' costumes for that time period while still staying in step stylistically with the dark humor of the piece.  My experience working with Max Hoffman was great - he was extremely adept in his ability to both articulate his vision while still allowing a great deal of room for my own interpretation of the characters."
